  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE SENSOR AND YAW RATE SENSOR2)
    1. Select the Data List on the Techstream.

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2018 - ]

      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Data List

Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note

    2. Check the yaw rate sensor output value displayed on the Techstream.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
NG (The yaw rate sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value is 0 deg/s when the vehicle is stationary, but the value fluctuates when turning.) A
NG (The yaw rate sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value is not 0 deg/s when the vehicle is stationary.) B
      OK C

    Result:

REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [07/2022 - ]

    Result:

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2018 - ]

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022] , or refer to INSTALLATION [07/2022 - ]

      OK

The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is tightened to the specified torque.

The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is not tilted.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
