Disassembly [10/2018 - ]: Procedure

REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

REMOVE FUEL PUMP

Disconnect the fuel pump harness connectors.

Disengage the clamp and disconnect the fuel pump harness from the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly.

Disengage the claw and slide the plate sub-assembly and then remove that from the fuel sub-tank sub-assembly.

Disengage the 4 claws, and remove the fuel pump from the fuel sub-tank sub-assembly.

NOTE:

Do not do anything which may separate the tube from either the plate sub-assembly or fuel filter, such as applying excessive force to the tube.

Disengage the 3 claws, and remove the fuel pump from the No. 1 fuel suction support.

Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector to remove the fuel pump harness from the fuel pump.

Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.

NOTE:

Be careful not to damage the sealing surface.
