Removal [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2018 - 10/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [10/2019 - 07/2022]

  5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the E.F.I. vacuum sensor assembly (manifold absolute pressure sensor) connector.

    2. Disconnect the generator assembly connector.

    3. Open the terminal cap.
    4. Remove the nut and disconnect the wire harness from the terminal B.
    5. Remove the bolt and separate the wire harness clamp bracket from the generator assembly.
    6. Remove the 2 nuts and loosen the bolt.

    7. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.
    8. Remove the bolt and generator assembly.
