Removal [07/2022 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch is turned off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH (for LH Side)
- REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL

- REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT

- SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR DISC

- DISCONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR

- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

- REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING

- REMOVE REAR UPPER COIL SPRING INSULATOR

- REMOVE REAR LOWER COIL SPRING INSULATOR

- REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY

- SEPARATE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY (w/ AVS)
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
- LOOSEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY (w/ AVS)
- LOOSEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY (w/o AVS)
- REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Loosen the 2 bolts (A) of the rear trailing arm assembly.
- Using a jack and a wooden block, support the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
*a Wooden Block *b Jack NOTE:- When jacking up the rear axle carrier sub-assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.
- Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.
- Loosen the bolt (B) of the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.NOTE:
Because the nut (C) has its own stopper, do not turn the nut (C). Loosen the bolt (B) with the nut (C) secured.
- Remove the 2 bolts (A) to separate the rear trailing arm assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
- Remove the nut (D) to separate the rear shock absorber assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
- Remove the bolt (B), nut (C) and rear axle carrier sub-assembly from the rear upper control arm assembly.NOTE:
Use wire or an equivalent tool to keep the rear drive shaft assembly.
- Loosen the 2 bolts (A) of the rear trailing arm assembly.
