Removal [10/2018 - 08/2021]: Procedure

HINT: 

When removing the symbol emblem, heat the symbol emblem using a heat light.

Standard

1. Apply protective tape around the symbol emblem.

2. Using a moulding remover D, disengage the location pins to remove the symbol emblem.
   NOTE:

   Be careful not to damage the back door outside lower panel.

3. Remove the protective tape.

HINT: 

When removing the No. 3 back door name plate, heat the No. 3 back door name plate using a heat light.

Standard

1. Apply protective tape around the No. 3 back door name plate.

   *a	Wooden Block
   *b	Piano Wire
   	Protective Tape

2. Insert piano wire between the back door outside lower panel and No. 3 back door name plate.
3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 3 back door name plate to the back door outside lower panel.
   NOTE:

   Be careful not to damage the back door outside lower panel.

5. Remove the No. 3 back door name plate.

HINT: 

When removing the No. 2 back door name plate, heat the No. 2 back door name plate using a heat light.

Standard

1. Apply protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate.

   *A	for Gasoline Model
   *B	for HV Model
   *a	Wooden Block
   *b	Piano Wire
   	Protective Tape

2. Insert piano wire between the back door outside lower panel and No. 2 back door name plate.
3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 back door name plate to the back door outside lower panel.
   NOTE:

   Be careful not to damage the back door outside lower panel.

5. Remove the No. 2 back door name plate.

HINT: 

When removing the No. 1 rear body name plate, heat the No. 1 rear body name plate using a heat light.

Standard

1. Apply protective tape around the No. 1 rear body name plate.

2. Insert piano wire between the rear door panel and No. 1 rear body name plate.
3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 rear body name plate to the rear door panel.
   NOTE:

   Be careful not to damage the rear door panel.

5. Remove the No. 1 rear body name plate.

HINT: 

When removing the No. 1 front fender name plate, heat the No. 1 front fender name plate using a heat light.

Standard

1. Apply protective tape around the No. 1 front fender name plate.

2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 front fender name plate.
3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.
4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 front fender name plate to the vehicle body.
   NOTE:

   Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

5. Remove the No. 1 front fender name plate.

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
