Yaw Rate Sensor Wrong Installation (X0456) [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)
- Using the Techstream, perform the Health Check.
Result
Result Proceed to DTCs are not output A DTCs are output B
Result:
B
GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
Result:
A
See step 2
- Using the Techstream, perform the Health Check.
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (YAW RATE SENSOR VALUE)
- Select the Data List using the Techstream.
Chassis > Brake/EPB > Data List
Tester Display Measurement Item Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Yaw Rate Sensor Value Yaw rate sensor Min.: -128°/s, Max.:127°/s Vehicle stopped: 0°/s
Turning right: -128 to 0°/s
Turning left: 0 to 127°/s- Chassis > Brake/EPB > Data List
Tester Display Yaw Rate Sensor Value Result
Result Proceed to NG (The yaw rate sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value is 0 deg/s when the vehicle is stationary, but the value fluctuates when turning.) A NG (The yaw rate sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value is not 0 deg/s when the vehicle is stationary.) B OK C
Result:
B
REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]
Result:
C
USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2018 - ]
Result:
A
See step 3
- Select the Data List using the Techstream.
- CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
- Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.
Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
OK
The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.
The sensor is not installed in a tilted position.
Result
Proceed to OK NG
Result:
NG
INSTALL AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]
Result:
OK
See step 4
- Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.
- CLEAR VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB)
- Using the Techstream, clear the Vehicle Control History (RoB).
Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility
