DTC C051D-54: Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module "A" Missing Calibration [10/2018 - 07/2022]: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACCELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Utility / Reset Memory.
    4. Clear the zero point calibration data and system information.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Reset Memory
    5. Perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information memorization.

      Refer to UTILITY [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Calibration

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Operate the Techstream to clear the codes. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Clear DTCs 

    4. Press the DTC clear button.
    5. Turn the engine switch off.
    6. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    7. Read the DTCs following the prompts on the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Trouble Codes.

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Trouble Codes 

    8. Check if the same DTC is output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      C051D-54 is not output A
      C051D-54 is output B

    Result: 

    END

  3. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION 
    1. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) has been installed properly.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

      OK

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is tightened to the specified torque.

      The yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) is not installed in a tilted position.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    INSTALL AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. Refer to  INSTALLATION [10/2018 - 07/2022]

  4. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LATERAL G AND FORWARD AND REARWARD G) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Data List.

      Chassis > Brake/EPB > Data List

      Lateral G Lateral G Min.: -25.105 m/s2 , Max.: 24.908 m/s2 Turning right: -25.105 to 0.000 m/s2

    4. Check the acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value displayed on the Techstream.

      OK

      The acceleration sensor (airbag ECU assembly) output value is normal.

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]

    REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2018 - 07/2022]
