Removal [10/2015 - 03/2018]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe damper from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

  4. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and disconnect the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst).
  5. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst) 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and disconnect the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the center exhaust pipe assembly (TWC: Rear Catalyst) from the 4 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly and exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).

      Bolt
      Nut
    2. Remove the 2 exhaust pipe gaskets from the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
  7. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    See step  23

  8. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
