Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 [08/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [08/2019 - ]

  3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - 03/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [03/2018 - ]

  4. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - ]

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 screws, clip and No. 2 engine under cover from the vehicle body.

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2015 - ]

  7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

  8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2019 - ]

  9. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [08/2019 - ]

  10. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2019 - ]

  11. REMOVE RESERVOIR BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [08/2016 - 03/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [03/2018 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2019 - ]

  12. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disengage the wire harness clamp from the wire harness clamp bracket.

      *a Fuel Tube Sub-assembly Connector
      *b EGR Valve Assembly Connector
    2. Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the EGR valve assembly connector.
  13. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2019 - ]

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2015 - 08/2016] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [08/2016 - 12/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [12/2017 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [08/2019 - ]

  15. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose assembly from the EGR valve assembly.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hose assemblies from the EGR cooler assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

  17. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and disconnect the EGR cooler assembly from the EGR cooler bracket.

      *1 EGR Cooler Assembly
      *2 No. 1 EGR Pipe
      *3 Exhaust Manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst)
      Bolt
      Nut
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and bolt and disconnect the No. 1 EGR pipe from the EGR cooler assembly and exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).
    3. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the EGR cooler bracket from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly RH and camshaft housing sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the EGR valve assembly, EGR cooler assembly, No. 1 EGR pipe and EGR cooler bracket.
    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 9 water by-pass hose from the EGR valve assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 nuts and EGR valve assembly from the EGR cooler assembly.

  18. REMOVE EGR INLET GASKET 
    1. Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).

    2. Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the No. 1 EGR pipe.
