Removal [08/2016 - ]: Procedure
- DISCONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2016 - 03/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2018 - 08/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2018 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [08/2019 - ]
- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2015 - ]
- REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2016 - 08/2019] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [08/2019 - ]
- REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT NUT
- SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE REAR DISC
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 [10/2015 - ]
- SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR
- Remove the bolt and separate the rear speed sensor from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.NOTE:
- Prevent foreign matter from contacting the sensor tip.
- Clean the rear speed sensor installation hole and the contact surfaces every time the rear speed sensor is removed.
- Be careful not to damage the rear speed sensor.
- Remove the bolt and separate the rear speed sensor from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY
- Put matchmarks on the rear drive shaft assembly and rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
*a Matchmark - Using a plastic hammer, separate the rear drive shaft assembly from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
HINT:
If it is difficult to separate the rear drive shaft assembly from the rear axle hub and bearing assembly, tap the end of the rear drive shaft assembly using a brass bar and a hammer.
- Remove the 4 bolts, rear axle hub and bearing assembly and rear disc brake dust cover sub-assembly from the rear axle carrier sub-assembly.
- Put matchmarks on the rear drive shaft assembly and rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
