On-Vehicle Inspection [10/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure
- INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (for Turn Signal Light LED Type)
- Disconnect the S31 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
- Disconnect the Z21 rear light assembly LH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S31-5 (TRN1) - Z21-4 (TRN4) Always Below 1 Ω S31-6 (TRN2) - Z21-5 (TRN3) Always Below 1 Ω S31-5 (TRN1) or Z21-4 (TRN4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher S31-6 (TRN2) - Z21-5 (TRN3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
- Reconnect the Z21 rear light assembly LH connector.
- Reconnect the S31 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Z21-4 (TRN4) - Z21-1 (E)*1 Power switch on (IG), left turn signal light blinking 11 to 14 V ←→ Below 1 V Z21-5 (TRN3) - Z21-1 (E)*2 Power switch on (IG), left turn signal light blinking 11 to 14 V ←→ Below 1 V - *1: If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the turn signal light circuit of the rear combination light assembly LH. Inspect the rear combination light assembly LH.
- *2: If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the turn signal light circuit of the rear light assembly LH. Inspect the rear light assembly LH.
- INSPECT REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (for Turn Signal Light LED Type)
- Disconnect the S33 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
- Disconnect the Z20 rear light assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S33-5 (TRN1) - Z20-4 (TRN4) Always Below 1 Ω S33-6 (TRN2) - Z20-5 (TRN3) Always Below 1 Ω S33-5 (TRN1) or Z20-4 (TRN4) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher S33-6 (TRN2) - Z20-5 (TRN3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
- Reconnect the Z20 rear light assembly RH connector.
- Reconnect the S33 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
