Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2019 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ]

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

  5. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR WITH BRACKET (except F-Sport without Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      NOTE:

      Do not touch the terminals of the kick door control sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Remove the 2 clips.

    5. Disengage the 4 guides to remove the kick door control sensor with bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction - -
  6. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR (except F-Sport without Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disengage the 15 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
      NOTE:
      • Do not subject the kick door control sensor to a strong impact or drop it.
      • Do not reuse a kick door control sensor which has been subjected to a strong impact or dropped.
      • Be careful not to pull the wire harness.
      • Be careful not to twist the wire harness.
  7. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR WITH BRACKET (for F-Sport without Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      NOTE:

      Do not touch the terminals of the kick door control sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the 2 screws.

    4. Remove the 2 clips.

    5. Disengage the 4 guides to remove the kick door control sensor with bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction - -
  8. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR (for F-Sport without Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disengage the 16 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
      NOTE:
      • Do not subject the kick door control sensor to a strong impact or drop it.
      • Do not reuse a kick door control sensor which has been subjected to a strong impact or dropped.
      • Be careful not to pull the wire harness.
      • Be careful not to twist the wire harness.
  9. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR WITH BRACKET (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      NOTE:

      Do not touch the terminals of the kick door control sensor connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Remove the screw.

      Remove in this Direction - -
    4. Remove the 2 clips.
    5. Disengage the guide to remove the kick door control sensor with bracket as shown in the illustration.
  10. REMOVE KICK DOOR CONTROL SENSOR (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disengage the 16 claws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and guide to remove the kick door control sensor from the kick door control bracket as shown in the illustration.
