Reassembly [12/2017 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR UNIT SET ASSEMBLY LH 
    NOTE:

    Do not apply any horizontal load to the power back door unit set assembly in order to prevent the piston rod from deforming.

    1. Clean the bolt hole on the vehicle body.
    2. Install the 2 bolts (A).

      NOTE:

      Install the power back door unit set assembly while supporting the back door by hand.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    3. Install the power back door unit set assembly with 2 new bolts (B).
      NOTE:

      Install the power back door unit set assembly while supporting the back door by hand.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR UNIT SET ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL BACK DOOR DUST PROOF SEAL 
    1. Engage the guide and 2 claws to install the back door dust proof seal.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  4. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOWER STOPPER CUSHION 
    1. Engage the 2 claws to install a new back door lower stopper cushion.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  7. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR WARNING BUZZER 

    See step  1

  9. INSTALL MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU 

    See step  1

  10. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  11. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  13. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2017 - 08/2019]

  14. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2017 - ]

  15. INSTALL SIDE REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. INSTALL SIDE REAR SPOILER PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    See step  1

  18. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    See step  2

  19. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  20. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOWER STOPPER 
    1. Engage the guide to install the back door lower stopper with the bolt.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  21. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY REINFORCEMENT LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Engage the guide to install the back door stay reinforcement LH with the bolt.

  22. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY REINFORCEMENT RH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  23. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOWER STAY REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the back door lower stay reinforcement LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

  24. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOWER STAY REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  25. INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  26. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Engage the 16 clips to install the back door trim panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  27. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Engage the 17 clips to install the back door trim panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  28. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  29. INSTALL DOOR PULL HANDLE 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 6 claws to install the door pull handle.

  30. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BASE 
    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the back door trim base.

  34. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Engage the 2 guides, 2 claws and 2 clips to install the back door trim cover LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  35. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  36. INSTALL BACK WINDOW UPPER PANEL TRIM (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disengage the 4 guides, 5 clips and 4 claws to install the back window upper panel trim.

  37. INSTALL BACK WINDOW UPPER PANEL TRIM (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) 
    1. Disengage the 4 guides, 6 clips and 4 claws to install the back window upper panel trim.

  38. INITIALIZE POWER BACK DOOR SYSTEM

  40. INSPECT BACK DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM

  41. ADJUST REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY
