Removal [09/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [11/2017 - 09/2020] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2020 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 10/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2018 - 09/2020] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [11/2017 - ]

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2017 - ]

  6. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips to disconnect the belt guide unit of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  7. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2017 - ]

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 
    1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.
  9. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2017 - ]

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2017 - ]

  12. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER 

    See step  6

  13. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  7

  14. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 [11/2017 - ]

  15. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [09/2014 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17 [11/2017 - ]

  16. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. for LH Side:
      1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        *a Protective Tape
        *b Locking Button
        *c Release

        HINT: 

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. for RH Side:
      1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        HINT: 

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.
  17. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat outer belt anchor bracket assembly.
