Removal [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (WHEN REPLACING A REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (WHEN REPLACING THE 2 REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 29 [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  4. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 CENTER SPEAKER GRILLE SUB-ASSEMEBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28 [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  6. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31 [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  7. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  8. REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  8

  11. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the nut and skid control sensor wire LH.
  12. DISCONNECT NO. 7 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 7 height control tube from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

  13. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH 

    See step  10

  14. REMOVE REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using SST, remove the nut B.

      • SST: 09249-37010 

      HINT: 

      If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts A from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (upperside).

      HINT: 

      If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.

    3. Remove the nut from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (lower side).

    4. Remove the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH and washer as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction (1)
      Remove in this Direction (2)
    5. When reusing the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH:
      1. Remove the No. 2 connector, plate and 2 O-rings.
