Installation [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. When reusing the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH:
      1. Install 2 new O-rings, a new plate and new No. 2 connector to the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

    2. Temporarily tighten the washer and rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH with a new nut.

    3. Temporarily tighten the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH with the 3 nuts.

      HINT: 

      If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.

  2. CONNECT NO. 7 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Connect the No. 7 height control tube to the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

  3. CONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH 
    1. Install the skid control sensor wire LH with the nut.

      Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf/cm, 53 in.lbf)

    2. Connect the connector.
  4. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  4

  5. AIR MOVEMENT (WHEN REPLACING A REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER) 

    HINT: 

    Move the air pressure according to the instructions on the Techstream.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  6. AIR MOVEMENT (WHEN REPLACING THE 2 REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS) 

    HINT: 

    Move the air pressure according to the instructions on the Techstream.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  7. STABILIZE SUSPENSION 

    See step  5

  8. TIGHTEN REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Fully tighten the nut.

      Torque: 110 N.m (1122 kgf/cm, 81 ft.lbf)

    2. Fully tighten the 2 nuts A.

      Torque: 40 N.m (408 kgf/cm, 30 ft.lbf)

      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      HINT: 

      If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.

    3. Using SST, fully tighten the nut B.
      • SST: 09249-37010 

      Specified tightening torque 

      Torque: 40 N.m (408 kgf/cm, 30 ft.lbf) 

      HINT: 

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

        Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - 09/2019] , or refer to PRECAUTION [09/2019 - 10/2020]

      • When using SST (fulcrum length of 100 mm (3.937 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.087 in.)): 25.7 N.m (262 kgf/cm, 19 ft.lbf)
      • If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.
  9. INSTALL REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH

  10. TIGHTEN REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  8

  11. CHECK CONNECTIONS OF TUBES FOR AIR LEAKAGE 
    1. Install the rear wheel RH.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2023]

    2. Check the connections of the tubes for air leakage.

      Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2017 - ]

    3. Remove the rear wheel RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. INSTALL ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  15. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  16. INSTALL NO. 1 CENTER SPEAKER GRILLE SUB-ASSEMEBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  17. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  18. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  20. INSPECT AND ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  21. CHECK HEIGHT CHANGE OPERATION 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2017 - ]

  22. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  23. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [10/2017 - 10/2020]
