Removal [10/2022 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT TO CROSS MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the intake mass air flow meter connector.
    3. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the air cleaner assembly.
    4. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the 3 air cleaner supports.

      *1 Air Cleaner Support
  8. DISCONNECT CONNECTOR 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the ground wire.
    3. Detach the wire harness clamp from the oil pump motor controller bracket.

      *a Pull out the lock
      *b Release the lock
      *c Rotate the lock lever
    4. Pull out the lock of the connector.
    5. Release the lock of the connector.
    6. Release the lock lever of the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.
    7. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.

    8. Pull out the lock of the connector.

      *a Pull out the lock
      *b Release the lock
      *c Rotate the lock lever
    9. Release the lock of the connector.
    10. Release the lock lever of the connector as shown in the illustration. Disconnect the connector from the oil pump motor controller.
  9. REMOVE OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER 
    NOTE:

    If the oil pump motor controller has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    1. Remove the 2 nuts and oil pump motor controller with bracket.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and oil pump motor controller bracket from the oil pump motor controller.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and oil pump motor controller bracket from the oil pump motor controller.
