Installation [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the power switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

    3. While holding the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly with one hand, perform the following procedure.
      1. Connect the airbag connector and push the lock button to lock.

        *a Lock Button
        Push in this Direction
        NOTE:
        • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
        • Make sure the lock button is securely locked.
      2. Insert it until the hood lock control lever locks.

        Insert until Lock Engages
      3. Attach the claw to connect the DLC3.
      4. Attach the wire harness clamp.
    4. Attach the claw to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Install in this Direction
    5. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)

    6. Check that there is no looseness in the lower No. 1 instrument panel airbag assembly.
  2. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 35 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  6. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  10. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  11. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    w/ Advanced Park:

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2021 - 10/2023]

    w/o Advanced Park:

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2020 - 10/2023]

  12. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    w/ Advanced Park:

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2021 - 10/2023]

    w/o Advanced Park:

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2021 - 10/2023]
