Removal [11/2021 - 10/2022]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:
    • After the power switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - 10/2022]

    • When replacing the auxiliary battery, use a new auxiliary battery of the same dimensions and same capacity or more from the same class at a 20-hour rate.
    • After replacing the auxiliary battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new auxiliary battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old auxiliary battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.
  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. REMOVE TOOL BOX

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  5. REMOVE AUXILIARY BATTERY 
    1. Disengage the claw and disconnect the auxiliary battery terminal cap.

    2. Disconnect the clamp spring assembly of the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal from the auxiliary battery.

      Disconnect clamp spring assembly in this direction
    3. Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and battery clamp sub-assembly.

    5. Disconnect the battery exhaust hose from the auxiliary battery.

    6. Remove the auxiliary battery.
    7. Lift up and pull the battery along the slope to remove it as shown in the illustration.
