Installation [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure
- INSTALL AUXILIARY BATTERY
- Lower the auxiliary battery along the slope to install it as shown in the illustration.
Auxiliary battery installation direction *a Slope NOTE:As the auxiliary battery is very heavy, handle it with caution. If it is dropped or subjected to any strong impacts, replace it with a new one.
- Install the auxiliary battery.
- Connect the battery exhaust hose to the auxiliary battery.NOTE:
After replacing the auxiliary battery, install the ventilation hole plug supplied with the new auxiliary battery or the ventilation hole plug from the old auxiliary battery to the ventilation hole on the side to which the battery hose is not connected.
- Install the battery clamp sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf/cm, 43 in.lbf)
- Connect the cable to the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf/cm, 48 in.lbf)
- Connect the clamp spring assembly of the positive (+) auxiliary battery terminal to the auxiliary battery as shown in the illustration.
*1 Auxiliary Battery *2 Clamp Spring Assembly Push the clamp spring assembly in this direction - - - Attach the claw to connect the battery terminal cap.
- Lower the auxiliary battery along the slope to install it as shown in the illustration.
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.
Torque: 6.4 N.m (65 kgf/cm, 57 in.lbf)
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2018 - 10/2020]
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.
- INSTALL TOOL BOX
- Install the tool box.
- INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
