Registration [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. MEMORY CALL REGISTRATION 
    1. Memory registration when not using the GTS
      NOTE:
      • Do not bring 2 or more electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies into the cabin.
      • Do not press and hold the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly for 3 seconds or more.
      1. Register the seat position to a seat memory switch (M1, M2, or M3 switch) in advance.
      2. Sit on the driver seat carrying only the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to be registered to the vehicle.
      3. With the power switch on (IG) and the shift lever in P, restore the memorized position to be registered.
      4. With the power switch on (IG), the shift lever in P, the driver door closed, and a seat memory switch (M1, M2, or M3 switch) being pressed and held, press and hold the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly until the buzzer answer-back function operates.

        HINT: 

        • The door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly can be pressed to either the lock or unlock side.
        • The buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the registration is complete.
        • The buzzer sounds for 3 seconds when the registration fails.
    2. Memory deletion
      NOTE:
      • Do not bring 2 or more electrical key transmitter sub-assemblies into the cabin.
      • Do not press and hold the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly for 3 seconds or more.
      1. Sit on the driver seat carrying only the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly to be deleted from the vehicle.
      2. With the power switch on (IG), the shift lever in P, the driver door closed, and the SET seat memory switch being pressed and held, press and hold the door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly until the answer-back by the buzzer is confirmed.

        HINT: 

        • The door control switch on the multiplex network master switch assembly can be pressed to either the lock or unlock side.
        • The buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds when the registration is complete.
        • The buzzer sounds for 3 seconds when the registration fails.
  2. INITIALIZATION OF SEAT ECU 
    NOTE:

    Initializing the position control ECU assembly will clear the seat position memory.

    HINT: 

    • Use the same procedure for the driver side and front passenger side.
    • Initialization is unnecessary for pneumatic support function.
    • If the seat is in the following positions or conditions after initialization completes, the system returns to the previous condition.
      • The headrest is folded.
      • The seat is in the extra range due to a slide or reclining operation.
    • Perform the following procedures according to the parts that are replaced or the procedures that are performed.

  3. RESET ECU (STEP 1) 
    1. Seat position information is cleared. (The seat current position, memorized position and motor end position are cleared. Lift up buckle information is not cleared.)
      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).
      2. Operate the front vertical power seat switch knob to tilt the front of the power seat downward 3 times.
      3. Operate the rear lifter switch upward within 10 seconds of operating the front vertical switch. Simultaneously operate the reclining switch backward and hold the switches in operation until the buzzer sounds.
  4. SET ECU 0 VALUE (STEP 2) 
    NOTE:
    • Make sure to perform the ECU zero point setting procedure in the specified order.
    • When initializing the slide and reclining operations, make sure that the headrest does not contact the ceiling. If it appears that contact will occur, operate the lifter downward in advance.
    1. Operate the seat slide switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (front). Hold the seat slide switch (front) in that position for 1 second. When slide initialization completes, a short buzzer sound is heard.

      HINT: 

      After the above operation completes, the "auto initialization function" is performed, the variable cushion length is operated backward and the headrest adjuster up/down is operated downward. When variable cushion length and headrest adjuster up/down initialization completes, a short buzzer sound is heard.

    2. Operate the seat reclining switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (front). Hold the seat reclining switch (front) in that position for 1 second. When reclining initialization completes, a short buzzer sound is heard.

      HINT: 

      After the above operation completes, the "auto initialization function" is automatically performs and the headrest adjuster forward/backward is operated backward. When headrest adjuster forward/backward initialization completes, a short buzzer sound is heard.

    3. Operate the seat lifter switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (down). Hold the seat lifter switch in that position (down) for 1 second. When lifter initialization completes, a short buzzer sound is heard.
    4. Operate the front vertical switch and move the seat to its operating limit position (down). Hold the front vertical switch in that position (down) for 1 second. When front vertical initialization completes, a long buzzer sound is heard and all adjuster initialization completes.

      HINT: 

      If a long buzzer sound is not heard when initialization completes, return to the above seat slide switch operation procedure and perform zero point setting from the beginning again.

  5. RESET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (DRIVER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) INTERNAL INFORMATION (STEP 3-1) 
    NOTE:

    When removing the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse, click here. Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2023 - ]

    HINT: 

    When removing the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

    Refer to AUTOMATIC LEARNING CHART [10/2023 - ]

    1. With the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse removed, turn the power switch on (IG).
    2. Open the door (for Driver Side), and then turn the power switch off while operating the lift-up buckle (easy access buckle).
    3. Install the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List to check that the easy access buckle initialization flag was reset.

  6. RESET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (PASSENGER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) INTERNAL INFORMATION (STEP 3-2) 
    NOTE:

    When removing the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse, click here. Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2023 - ]

    HINT: 

    When removing the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

    Refer to AUTOMATIC LEARNING CHART [10/2023 - ]

    1. With the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse removed, turn the power switch on (IG).
    2. Open the door (for Front Passenger Side), and then turn the power switch off while operating the lift-up buckle (easy access buckle).
    3. Install the D/C CUT NO. 1 fuse.
    4. Using the GTS, read the Data List to check that the easy access buckle initialization flag was reset.

  7. SET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (DRIVER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) ZERO POINT (STEP 4-1-1) 
    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test and move the front seat inner belt assembly to the highest position.
    2. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test and move the front seat inner belt assembly to the lowest position.

      Body Electrical > Driver Seat > Active Test

  8. SET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (DRIVER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) ZERO POINT (STEP 4-1-2) 
    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List to check that the easy access buckle end point position was memorized.

  9. SET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (PASSENGER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) ZERO POINT (STEP 4-2-1) 
    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test and move the front seat inner belt assembly to the highest position.
    2. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test and move the front seat inner belt assembly to the lowest position.

  10. SET LIFT-UP BUCKLE (PASSENGER SEAT EASY ACCESS BUCKLE) ZERO POINT (STEP 4-2-2) 
    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List to check that the easy access buckle end point position was memorized.

  11. CHECK THAT ECU INITIALIZATION IS COMPLETE 
    1. Operate any switch and check that the buzzer does not sound.
      NOTE:

      If position control ECU assembly (for Front Seat) initialization completes normally but the buzzer sounds, perform position control ECU assembly (for Rear Seat) initialization.

      HINT: 

      If the buzzer sounds, zero point setting did not complete normally, so return to the above seat slide switch operation procedure and perform zero point setting from the beginning again.
