Installation [10/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Completely remove any oil or the like and clean the constant velocity universal joint washers and the contact surfaces of the front propeller shaft assembly, transfer and front differential.
    2. Align the matchmarks on the differential companion flange and front propeller shaft.
    3. Temporarily install the front propeller shaft with 6 new bolts and the 2 universal joint washers.

      *1 Bolt
      *a Matchmark
      Clean off oil and other foreign matter completely
      NOTE:

      Completely remove any oil and other foreign matter and clean the contact surfaces of the bolts.

    4. Align the matchmarks on the transfer companion flange and front propeller shaft.

      *1 Bolt
      *a Matchmark
      Clean off oil and other foreign matter completely
      NOTE:

      Completely remove any oil and other foreign matter and clean the contact surfaces of the bolts.

    5. Temporarily install the front propeller shaft with 6 new bolts and the 2 universal joint washers.
  2. INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING MEMBER 
    1. Set the rear No. 3 engine mounting insulator to the rear engine mounting member.

      Temporarily install the rear engine mounting member to the automatic transmission assembly with the 5 nuts.

    3. Temporarily install the rear engine mounting member with the 6 nuts.
    4. Tighten the 3 nuts (A).

      Torque: 41 N.m (418 kgf/cm, 30 ft.lbf) 

    5. Tighten the 2 nuts (B).

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf/cm, 71 in.lbf) 

    6. Tighten the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 34.7 N.m (354 kgf/cm, 26 ft.lbf)

  3. FULLY TIGHTEN FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, tighten the front propeller shaft with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

    2. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, tighten the front propeller shaft with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 25 N.m (255 kgf/cm, 18 ft.lbf) 

  4. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [10/2017 - ]

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 [10/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [10/2023 - ]
