Removal [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2023 - ]

    NOTE:

    After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • SRS parts are equipped with a backup power source. If work is started within 60 seconds of turning the power switch off and disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, SRS parts may deploy.
  4. REMOVE REAR CENTER NO. 2 SEAT ARMREST PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 57

  5. REMOVE REAR CENTER NO. 2 SEAT ARMREST PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58

  6. REMOVE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH WITH BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 59

  7. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST BRACKET LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 60

  8. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST BRACKET RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 61

  9. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ARMREST COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 62

  10. REMOVE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the rear power seat switch.
