Reassembly [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the clip as shown in the illustration.
  2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER LH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper lower side retainer LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the clip as shown in the illustration.
  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER SIDE RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER LH 
    1. Install the rear bumper lower retainer LH with the 4 screws.

  6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Insert the guide.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque: 20 N.m (204 kgf/cm, 15 ft.lbf)

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Attach the guide and install the rear bumper bar corner reinforcement LH with the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf/cm, 17 ft.lbf) 

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR CORNER REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH 
    1. Attach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH with the bolt.
  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 
    1. Attach the guide to install the rear bumper energy absorber as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM 

    HINT: 

    • When installing the rear bumper arm, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other side.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:
      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.
      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.
      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover.
      WARNING:
      • Do not touch the heat light or the heated portions of the components.
      • Touching the heat light could result in burns.
      • Touching the heated portions of the components and remaining in contact for a long time could result in burns.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new 2 rear bumper arms.

      *a Mark-off Line

      Align the 2 rear bumper arms with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      NOTE:

      Press the rear bumper arm firmly to install it.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 MOULDING TAPE 

    HINT: 

    • When installing the No. 1 moulding tape, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.
    • Use the same procedure for the other side.

    Standard

    Item Temperature
    Rear Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    NOTE:

    Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

    1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:
      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover installation surface.
      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

    3. Remove the peeling paper from a new No. 1 moulding tape.

      *a Mark-off Line

      Align the No. 1 moulding tape with the mark-off line of the rear bumper cover.

      NOTE:

      Press the No. 1 moulding tape firmly to install it.

    5. Remove the application tape.
  15. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE LH 
    1. Install the anti-drop hook.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Attach the claw to install the rear bumper piece LH.
  16. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION MOULDING LH (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Attach the guide and clip to install the rear bumper extension moulding LH as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 3 screws.

  18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION MOULDING RH (w/ Advanced Drive) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL REAR BUMPER CENTER MOULDING (w/o Advanced Drive) 
    1. Attach the guide and clip to install the rear bumper center moulding as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 6 screws.

  20. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER 
    1. Attach the guide and claw to install the rear bumper lower cover.

    2. Install the 6 outside moulding retainers as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the 2 clips.

    4. Install the 4 outside moulding retainers as shown in the illustration.

  21. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the guide and claw to install the reflex reflector assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Install in this Direction
    2. Install the screw.
  22. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  29. INSTALL REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR

  30. INSTALL ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  31. INSTALL REAR SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  32. INSTALL REAR SIDE ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  33. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE 
    1. Attach the clamp to install the No. 3 luggage room wire.

      *A w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid *B w/ Advanced Park
    2. Connect each connector.
      NOTE:

      Do not apply excessive loads to the retainer. Otherwise, it may peel off.

  34. INSTALL REAR LiDAR CLEANER NOZZLE (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  35. INSTALL REAR LiDAR CLEANER COVER (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  36. INSTALL REAR LiDAR ADVANCED DRIVE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Advanced Drive) 
  37. INSTALL REAR NO. 6 LiDAR CLEANER HOSE (w/ Advanced Drive) 
    1. Attach the claw to install the rear No. 6 LiDAR cleaner hose.

  38. INSTALL KICK DOOR CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Hands Free Power Trunk Lid) 
    1. w/o Advanced Drive:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

    2. w/ Advanced Drive:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
