Removal [10/2022 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - 10/2023]

    NOTE:

    After the power switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2021 - 10/2023]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

  4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  8. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR PAD PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31

  9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  10. REMOVE PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 4 connectors.
    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      *a Lever Connector - -
      Rotate in this Direction Protective Tape
    4. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and disconnect the 2 lever connectors.
    5. Remove the 2 nuts.

    6. Detach the claw and remove the passenger side junction block assembly with network gateway ECU.

      *a Lever Connector - -
      Rotate in this Direction Protective Tape
    7. Disconnect the connector.
    8. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw and disconnect the 2 lever connectors.
  11. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU 
    1. Detach the claw and guide and remove the network gateway ECU.
