Hazard Warning Switch Circuit [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List.

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [10/2020 - 10/2023]

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

  2. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]

    2. Inspect the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2017 - ]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the AA hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G162*1 or G35*2 combination meter assembly connector.
      1. *1: w/ Advanced Drive
      2. *2: w/o Advanced Drive
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W/ ADVANCED DRIVE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      AA-6 (HAZ) - G162-12 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      AA-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      AA-6 (HAZ) or G162-12 (HZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W/O ADVANCED DRIVE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      AA-6 (HAZ) - G35-2 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      AA-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      AA-6 (HAZ) or G35-2 (HZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2020 - 11/2021]
