DTC C169D-87: Side Camera (Right) Image Signal Missing Message [10/2022 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the L261 parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the H43 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L261-1 (RCB+) - H43-2 (RCB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L261-3 (RCV+) - H43-4 (RCV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L261-4 (RCV-) - H43-3 (RCV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L261-2 (RGND) - H43-1 (RGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      L261-5 (SGND) - H43-5 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      L261-1 (RCB+) or H43-2 (RCB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L261-3 (RCV+) or H43-4 (RCV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L261-4 (RCV-) or H43-3 (RCV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L261-2 (RGND) or H43-1 (RGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L261-5 (SGND) or H43-5 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result:

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (RCV-, RGND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the L261 parking assist ECU connector.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Parking Assist ECU)

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (RGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      4 (RCV-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    3. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (RCB+, RGND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the H43 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H43-1 (RGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H43-2 (RCB+) - H43-1 (RGND) Ignition switch ON 7.5 to 8.5 V
      H43-2 (RCB+) - H43-1 (RGND) Ignition switch off Below 1 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the side television camera assembly RH connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Side Television Camera Assembly RH)
      *b Component without harness connected
      (Outer Rear View Mirror Assembly RH)
    2. Disconnect the outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (RCB+) - B-4 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      4 (RCV+) - B-3 (GVI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      3 (RCV-) - B-1 (GVI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      1 (RGND) - B-2 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      5 (SGND) or B-5 (SGND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2 (RCB+) or B-4 (RCB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      4 (RCV+) or B-3 (GVI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3 (RCV-) or B-1 (GVI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1 (RGND) or B-2 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      5 (SGND) or B-5 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Post-procedure1
