  1. CHECK DISPLAY CHECK MODE 
    1. Check which items display on the signal check screen.

      "CAMERA SW" displays "CHK" (red) A
      "SHIFT" displays "CHK" (red) B
      "CAN" displays "CHK" (red) C

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2018 - 10/2020]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR MAIN SWITCH [INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY] - PARKING ASSIST ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the G5 panoramic view monitor main switch (Integration control and panel assembly) connector.
    2. Disconnect the G96 parking assist ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G96-15 (BLSW) - G5-5 (D) Always Below 1 Ω
      G5-17 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G96-15 (BLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL & PANEL ASSEMBLY (PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR MAIN SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the panoramic view monitor main switch (Integration control and panel assembly).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - ]

    2. Inspect the panoramic view monitor main switch (Integration control and panel assembly).

      Refer to INSPECTION [10/2017 - 10/2020]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR MAIN SWITCH). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - ] 

  4. CHECK BACK-UP LIGHT 
    1. Check that the back-up light comes on.

      OK

      The back-up light comes on.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (EXT). Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2017 - 09/2018]  , or refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2018 - 10/2020] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REVERSE SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the parking assist ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G96-14 (REV) - Body ground Power swtich on (READY)
      Shift position in R
      8 V or higher
      G96-14 (REV) - Body ground Power swtich on (READY)
      Shift position not in R
      Below 3 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE PARKING ASSIST ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
