DTC C168D: Vehicle Information Unmatched [10/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Clear DTCs 

      Chassis > Parking Assist Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Trouble Codes 

      Chassis > Parking Assist Camera > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      DTC C168D is output ("Parking Assist Camera") A
      DTC C168D is output ("Panoramic View Monitor") B

  2. PERFORM SETTINGS (BACK CAMERA POSITION SETTING, STEERING ANGLE SETTING) 
    1. Perform the following procedure depending on the memory conditions to register the vehicle information into the rear television camera assembly.
      1. Refer to rear television camera assembly optical axis adjustment (back camera position setting).

        Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2017 - 11/2021]

      2. Refer to steering angle setting.

        Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2017 - 11/2021]

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > Parking Assist Camera > Clear DTCs 

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Chassis > Parking Assist Camera > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      • If DTC C168D is output, perform the procedure to register the vehicle information into the rear television camera assembly.
      • If DTC C168D is still output after performing the procedure to register the vehicle information into the rear television camera assembly 3 times, replace the rear television camera assembly.

    Result: 

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020]

  4. PERFORM SETTINGS (CAMERA VIEW ADJUSTMENT [CALIBRATION], STEERING ANGLE SETTING) 
    1. Perform the following procedure depending on the memory conditions to register the vehicle information to the parking assist ECU.
      1. Refer to camera view adjustment (calibration).

        Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2017 - 11/2021]

      2. Refer to steering angle setting.

        Refer to CALIBRATION [10/2017 - 11/2021]

  5. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - 10/2020]

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Clear DTCs 

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2017 - 10/2020]

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC C168D is not output.

      HINT: 

      • If DTC C168D is output, perform the procedure to allow the parking assist ECU to store the vehicle information again.
      • If DTC C168D is still output after performing the procedure to make the parking assist ECU store the vehicle information 3 times, replace the parking assist ECU.

  6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Panoramic View Monitor / Data List.
    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Parking Assist Camera / Data List.
    6. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Data List

    ADJUST PANORAMIC VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM DISPLAY SETTING. Refer to  CALIBRATION [10/2017 - 11/2021]

    REPLACE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2020] 

    Result: 

    RCD MEMORY CLEAR. Refer to  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2017 - 11/2021]
