Removal [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM UPPER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 ARMREST COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  8. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LH

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 FRAME GARNISH LH

  25. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING INSERT LH

  34. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 GLASS RUN LH

  35. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR ASSEMBLY LH

  36. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      "TORX" screw
      Connector
    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 TORX screws.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts.

      *1 Release plate
      Remove in this Direction
    4. Remove the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the rear door lock assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      Do not damage the vehicle body with the rear door lock assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Remove the rear door lock assembly LH while supporting it with one hand.

    5. When reusing rear door lock assembly LH:
      1. Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the rear door lock assembly LH.

  37. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the claw and open the rear door lock cover sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Open in this Direction
      Protective Tape
    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

  38. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. As shown in the illustration, detach the clamp and remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly LH.

  39. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. As shown in the illustration, detach the clamp and remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly LH.
