Installation [10/2020 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that the engine switch is off.
    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:
      • Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
      • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      *a Lock Button
      Push

      While holding the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly with one hand, connect the airbag connector and push the lock button to lock it.

      NOTE:
      • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
      • Make sure the lock button is securely locked.
    4. Attach the claw to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Install in this Direction
    5. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 [10/2023 - ]

  3. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 37 [10/2023 - ]

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38 [10/2023 - ]

  5. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40 [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 [10/2023 - ]

  6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2020 - 11/2021] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [11/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43 [10/2023 - ]

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2020 - 10/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2023 - ]

  8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  9. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to WORK PROCEDURE [10/2023 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  10. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK 

    Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2023] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2023 - ]

  11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2017 - 11/2021] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [11/2021 - 10/2023] , or refer to OPERATION CHECK [10/2023 - ]
