DTC B2672-87: Rear Console Switch Missing Message [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the L80 rear seat armrest assembly center connector.

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L80-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L80-17 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      L80-6 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Remove the rear power seat switch (rear multi operation panel).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      (to Rear Power Seat Switch [Rear Multi Operation Panel])

      Procedure1

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A-12 (B) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V
      A-6 (ACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER - AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY [SWITCH AND VOLUME]) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the L80 rear seat armrest assembly center connector.
    2. Disconnect the G80 air conditioning control assembly (switch and volume) connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L80-12 (TX+) - G80-9 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L80-13 (TX-) - G80-10 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L80-12 (TX+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L80-13 (TX-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. INSPECT REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Remove the rear seat armrest assembly center.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

    2. Remove the rear power seat switch (rear multi operation panel).

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      12 (TX+) - A-7 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      13 (TX-) - A-8 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-7 (TX+) - A-8 (TX-) Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to

      NG

    4. None

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE REAR SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY CENTER. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  5. REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH (REAR MULTI OPERATION PANEL) 
    1. Replace the rear power seat switch (rear multi operation panel) with a new or known good one.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

      Result

  6. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

  7. CHECK FOR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds or more.
    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 60 seconds or more.

      Procedure1

    5. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTC B2672-87 is output B

    Result:
