DTC B2282-31: Vehicle Speed Signal Circuit Open [10/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) 
    1. Check vehicle control history (RoB)
      1. Using the GTS, check for vehicle control history (RoB).

        Body Electrical > Navigation System > Utility 

        Tester Display
        Vehicle Control History (RoB)

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Vehicle control history (RoB) X8023 is output A
      Vehicle control history (RoB) is not output B

    Result:

  2. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS 
    1. Check that optional components are not installed.

      Result

      Optional components are installed A
      Optional components are not installed B

  3. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS 
    1. Remove optional components.
    2. Turn the power switch off and back to ON.

  4. CHECK VEHICLE SENSOR (SYSTEM SENSORS CHECK) 

    HINT: 

    For enter diagnostic mode and screen transition.

    1. Enter diagnostic mode.

      1. Enter diagnostic mode.
      2. Select "Function Check/Setting" from the "Service Menu" screen.
      3. Select "System Sensors Check" from the "Function Check/Setting I" screen.
    2. System sensors check
    3. Drive the vehicle and confirm that the displayed Speed changes in accordance with the vehicle driving condition.

      Result

      Speed changes A
      Speed does not change B

    Result: 

    REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2022 - ]

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the G34 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G52 radio receiver assembly connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G34-19 (+S) - G52-8 (SPD) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      Post-procedure1

    4. None

    Result: 

    OK 

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM. Refer to  Speed Signal Circuit [10/2022 - 10/2023]  , or refer to  Speed Signal Circuit [10/2023 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
