DTC C1249/49: Open in Stop Light Switch Circuit [03/2017 - 09/2018]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Depress the brake pedal for 5 seconds or more.
5. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes 

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC C1380/15 is not output.	A
   DTC C1380/15 is output.	B

Result: 

B 

GO TO DTC (C1380/15). Refer to  DTC C1380/15: Stop Light Control Relay Malfunction [03/2017 - 09/2018] 

Result: 

A

1. Depress the brake pedal and check that all the stop lights turn on.

   OK

   All stop lights turn on

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [03/2017 - 05/2023]

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Clear DTCs 

2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more.
4. Check if the same DTC is output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [03/2017 - 09/2018]

   Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRAC > Trouble Codes
