Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2020 - ]

  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

    for 8AR-FTS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

    for 2UR-GSE: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  3. REMOVE SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE FRONT UPPER NO. 2 SUSPENSION MEMBER (for 8AR-FTS, 2GR-FKS) 

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 64

    for 8AR-FTS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 FRAME CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY (for 2UR-GSE) 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and the No. 2 frame crossmember assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRAME CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY (for 2UR-GSE) 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 2 frame crossmember assembly.

  7. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and front stabilizer link assembly LH from the front stabilizer bar and front lower suspension arm assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud bolt.

  8. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  9. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    for 2GR-FKS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

    for 8AR-FTS: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

    for 2UR-GSE: Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  10. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET LH 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and front No. 2 stabilizer bracket LH from the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH.

  12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 STABILIZER BRACKET RH 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR 
    1. Remove the front stabilizer bar from the vehicle.
  14. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSHING 
    1. Remove the 2 front No. 1 stabilizer bar bushings from the front stabilizer bar.
  15. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH 
    1. Separate the wire harness clamp from the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH from the frame.
  16. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH 
    1. Separate the 2 wire harness clamps from the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket RH.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 stabilizer bracket RH from the frame.
  17. REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION NO. 2 FRAME CROSSMEMBER ASSEMBLY
