- INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and gasket seating surface of the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly.
- Install 2 new gaskets, the fuel tube sub-assembly and fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly to the fuel pump assembly.
*1 Gasket *2 Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper Assembly *3 Fuel Tube Sub-assembly - Using SST, tighten the fuel pressure pulsation damper assembly to the fuel pump assembly.
*a Length of SST 52 mm (2.05 in.) *b Length of Torque Wrench 180 mm (7.09 in.) - SST: 09612-24014
- 09617-24011
Without SST [Torque (N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf))]
Torque: 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)
With SST [Reading of Torque wrench (N*m (kgf*cm, ft.*lbf))]
Torque: 31 N*m (316 kgf*cm, 23 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
- This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.
- The "with SST" torque value is effective when using SST with a fulcrum length of 52 mm (2.05 in.).
- The "with SST" torque value is effective when using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.).
- If using a torque wrench with a different length, or connecting the torque wrench and SST at an angle, refer to the alternate torque values.
Refer to PRECAUTION [04/2013 - 08/2015]
