DTC C1AB5: Open in Outer Mirror Indicator (Slave) [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

   Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes 

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

1. Disconnect the R5 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.
2. Disconnect the J28 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   R5-4 (OMIL) - J28-13 (BDSL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J28-7 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the z20 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   J28-13 (BDSL) - z20-8 (BSM+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J28-7 (GND) - z20-12 (GND)	Always	Below 1 Ω

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   z20-8 (BSM+) - IND2-1 (+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   z20-12 (GND) - IND2-2 (-)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to

   NG

REPLACE OUTER MIRROR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

1. Remove the outer mirror LH.

   Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator LH on the outer mirror LH.

   Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to INSPECTION [08/2021 - ]

   Result
