DTC C1AB4: Open in Outer Mirror Indicator (Master) [06/2018 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [06/2018 - ]

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the R4 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the J6 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R4-4 (OMIR) - J6-13 (BDSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      J6-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the z19 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Outer Mirror Control ECU Assembly RH)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J6-13 (BDSR) - z19-8 (BSM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J6-7 (GND) - z19-12 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - ]

    OK

  4. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the IND1 outer mirror RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z19-8 (BSM+) - IND1-1 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z19-12 (GND) - IND1-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH 
    1. Remove the outer mirror RH.

      Refer to REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator RH on the outer mirror RH.

      Refer to INSPECTION [06/2018 - 08/2021] , or refer to INSPECTION [08/2021 - ]

      Result

    Result:

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - 09/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [09/2022 - ]

    NG 

    REPLACE OUTER MIRROR RH. Refer to  REMOVAL [06/2018 - 08/2021]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2021 - ]
