DTC U0155-87: Lost Communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module Missing Message [06/2018 - 08/2021]: Description

The ECM and combination meter assembly send and receive signals via CAN communication.

If a communication error occurs between the ECM and combination meter assembly, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores this DTC.

U0155-87 Lost Communication with Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module Missing Message All of the following conditions are met for 2.6 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic).
  • Engine switch on (IG)
  • Battery voltage is 10 V or higher
  • No communication between ECM and combination meter assembly
  • CAN communication system
  • Combination meter assembly
  • ECM
 Comes on DTC stored SAE Code: U0155
