Removal [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 4 FLOOR BOARD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2018 - ]

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13

  7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  8. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  10. REMOVE FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 28

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  13. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  16. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  19. REMOVE COOLER (NO. 2 ROOM TEMP. SENSOR) THERMISTOR (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  20. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 34

  21. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 43

  22. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear No. 2 seat outer belt assembly.

    2. Disengage the 4 claws and 2 guides.

  23. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  24. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SIDE AIR DUCT (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 21

  25. REMOVE REAR NO. 7 AIR DUCT (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  26. REMOVE REAR NO. 6 AIR DUCT (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24

  27. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly.

  28. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides.
    3. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      *a Locking Button
      *b Protective Tape
      *c Release

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Remove the nut.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly LH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
  29. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides.
    4. Remove the nut.

    5. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the rear No. 1 seat outer belt assembly RH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.
