Mute Signal Circuit between Stereo Component Amplifier and Telematics Transceiver [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

1. Remove the DCM (telematics transceiver) with the connector still connected.

   *a	Component with harness connected (DCM [Telematics Transceiver])

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   I40-17 (MUTE) - Body ground	Power switch on (ACC), audio system playing → Emergency call mode	Above 3.5 V → Below 1 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [10/2014 - 09/2016]  , or refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [09/2016 - 09/2017]

NG

1. Disconnect the P22 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the I40 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   P22-2 (TMUT) - I40-17 (MUTE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   P22-2 (TMUT) or I40-17 (MUTE) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Reconnect the stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Result

   NG

REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 09/2017]
