DTC U1110: Lost Communication with Clearance Sonar Module [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. RECONFIRM DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > HV Gateway > Trouble Codes 

      HINT: 

      If DTC U1002 is output from the gateway of the hybrid vehicle control ECU, this indicates a sub bus 11 malfunction. Troubleshoot for DTC U1002 and check for malfunctions in sub bus 11.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      U1002 is not output from hybrid vehicle control ECU A
      U1002 is output from hybrid vehicle control ECU B

    Result: 

    GO TO DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC. Refer to  DTC U1002: Lost Communication with Gateway Module [10/2014 - 09/2017]  

    Result:

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
    2. Disconnect the clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I20-17 (R1) - I20-18 (R2) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      (to Clearance Warning ECU Assembly)
      NOTE:

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 09/2017]

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      I20-12 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I20-27 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2014 - 05/2019] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
