Center Airbag Sensor Communication Stop Mode [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Disconnect the airbag ECU assembly connector.
Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2014 - 05/2019]
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I58-13 (CANH) - I58-22 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω Result
Proceed to OK NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY)

OK

- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for at least 90 seconds.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2014 - 09/2017]

(to Airbag ECU Assembly) - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition I58-21 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
