Installation [05/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER 
    1. Temporarily install the transmission oil cooler to the front engine mounting bracket with the 3 bolts.
    2. Tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 13.5 N.m (138 kgf/cm, 10 ft.lbf) 

  2. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 5 water by-pass hose and No. 6 water by-pass hose, and slide the 4 clips to secure them.

      *1 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose *2 No. 6 Water By-pass Hose
      *a 2 to 7 mm (0.0788 to 0.2755 in.) *b RH Side
      *c Upper Side *d Front Side
      NOTE:
      • Align the colored marking on the ends of the No. 5 water by-pass hose and No. 6 water by-pass hoses with the colored marking on the oil cooler and connect the hoses up to the spool fitting.
      • Securely connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose onto the water by-pass pipe so that the marking on the No. 5 water by-pass hose is facing the top of the vehicle.
      • Securely connect the No. 6 water by-pass hose onto the water by-pass pipe so that the marking on the No. 6 water by-pass hose is facing the left side of the vehicle.
    2. Attach the clamp to the No. 5 water by-pass hose.
  3. INSTALL OIL COOLER HOSE 
    1. Install the oil cooler inlet hose and oil cooler outlet hose, and slide the 4 clips to secure them.

      *3 2 to 7 mm (0.0788 to 0.2755 in.) *4 25°
      *5 130° *6 Upper Side
      *7 Front Side *8 No hose clamp claw in this region
      NOTE:
      • Make sure to install any hose clips without a specific installation direction in a direction that does not interfere with other parts.
      • Make sure to install the hose clips so that the spool fitting is not overlapped.
    2. Attach the clamp to the oil cooler outlet hose.
  4. INSTALL BATTERY BRACKET REINFORCEMENT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  6. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY 
  7. INSTALL BATTERY 
  8. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR 
  9. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  12. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [05/2019 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

  13. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 

    See step  5 [05/2019 - 07/2020], or see step  5 [07/2020 - ]

  14. ADD ENGINE COOLANT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  15. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  16. ADJUST AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID 

    Refer to ADJUSTMENT [05/2019 - 07/2020] , or refer to ADJUSTMENT [07/2020 - ] 

  17. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 97

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for Sport Package) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 100
