Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. DRAIN ENGINE OIL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [10/2014 - 05/2018] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [05/2018 - ]

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler) 

    See step  1

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ]

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 1 TURBO WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the 2 hose clips and disconnect the No. 1 turbo water hose and No. 2 turbo water hose from the No. 1 turbo water pipe sub-assembly.

  5. DISCONNECT TURBO OIL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts, union bolt and disconnect the turbo oil inlet pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the union bolt side gasket.
  6. REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the vacuum transmitting hose assembly from the waste gate valve actuator with bracket assembly.

    2. Disconnect the air by-pass valve assembly connector and wire harness clamp from the turbocharger sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and turbocharger sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the gasket from the turbo oil inlet pipe sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR INLET ELBOW 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and compressor inlet elbow.

    2. Remove the gasket.
  8. REMOVE NO. 1 TURBO WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and No. 1 turbo water pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket.

  9. REMOVE TURBO OIL INLET PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 nuts and turbo oil inlet pipe sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the gasket.
