Removal [10/2014 - 09/2017]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 LANE RECOGNITION COVER 
    1. Detach the 2 claws on the back of the No. 2 lane recognition cover at the same time and remove the No. 2 lane recognition cover as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Detaching the claws one at a time may cause them to become damaged. Therefore, even if one of the claws is detached, make sure to reattach it before detaching both claws at the same time.

    2. Slide the No. 1 lane recognition cover toward the front and detach the 2 guides and 2 clips to remove the No. 1 lane recognition cover as shown in the illustration.

    3. Remove the 2 clips from the No. 1 lane recognition cover.

  2. REMOVE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA 
    NOTE:
    • When replacing the lane departure warning camera, make sure to replace it with a new one.
    • Do not touch the lens surface of the lane departure warning camera and the windshield in front of the lane departure warning camera.
    • If the lane departure warning camera is dropped, replace it with a new one.
    • If the lane departure warning camera bracket is deformed or damaged, replace it together with the windshield glass.
    • If the windshield glass is replaced on a vehicle equipped with a lane departure warning camera, make sure to use a Toyota genuine part, as the lane departure warning camera may not be able to be installed due to a missing bracket or the lane departure alert system may not operate properly due to a difference in the transmissivity or ceramic line shape.
    1. Disconnect the connector.

      *d Pin on front of lane departure warning camera
      *e Hole in front side of bracket
      *f Press spring at center of bracket
      *g Pull down lane departure warning camera
      NOTE:

      Do not pull the harness forcibly when disconnecting the connector.

    2. Press the spring at the center of the bracket and disconnect the pin on the front of the lane departure warning camera from the hole in the front side of the bracket.
    3. While pulling the lane departure warning camera down, remove the 2 rear lane departure warning camera pins from the guides.
