Removal [11/2021 - 10/2023]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  3. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY TOP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

  7. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly from the hood lock control cable assembly.

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2022 - ]

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3 [10/2022 - ]

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the hood lock control cable cover LH.
    3. Disconnect the hood lock control assembly.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [11/2021 - 10/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 [10/2022 - 10/2023]

    4. Pull out the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control assembly from the hood lock control cable cover LH as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction
  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly in the cabin.

      *1 String
    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the clamps and remove the hood lock control cable assembly.

      *A w/ Advanced Drive *B w/ Digital Inner Mirror
      *C w/o Digital Inner Mirror - -
      *1 Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly *2 Stopper
    3. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine room.

      HINT: 

      Do not pull off the string, because it is used during installation. Leave it on the vehicle.

    4. Disconnect the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
