Removal [10/2020 - 11/2021]: Procedure

  1. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (WHEN REPLACING A FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER) 

    HINT: 

    Check each part and system if an error is displayed for air movement pattern A.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 with the power switch off.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on and enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Utility / Air Transfer Pattern A.

      Chassis > Air suspension > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Air Transfer Pattern A
    4. Perform vehicle height control prohibition and air movement according to the instructions on the Techstream.
  2. AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL PROHIBITED (WHEN REPLACING THE 2 FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS) 

    HINT: 

    Check each part and system if an error is displayed for air movement pattern B.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3 with the power switch off.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on and enter the following menus: Chassis / Air suspension / Utility / Air Transfer Pattern B.

      Chassis > Air suspension > Utility 

      Tester Display
      Air Transfer Pattern B
    4. Perform vehicle height control prohibition and air movement according to the instructions on the Techstream.
  3. DISCONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR (w/o Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DISABLE BRAKE CONTROL (w/ Advanced Park) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (for LH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE (for RH Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 

    Refer to REMOVAL [10/2017 - 10/2023]

  8. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL WIRE LH 
    1. Remove the bolt and nut.

    2. Disconnect the clamp, 2 connectors and remove the absorber control wire LH.
  9. DISCONNECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the front stabilizer link assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon socket wrench 8 mm to hold the stud bolt.

  10. DISCONNECT FRONT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

  11. DISCONNECT FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH 
    1. Remove the nut and disconnect the front skid control sensor wire LH.

  12. DISCONNECT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  13. DISCONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY LH 

    See step  3

  14. DISCONNECT NO. 4 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE 
    1. Disconnect the No. 4 height control tube from the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.

      Refer to PRECAUTION [10/2017 - ]

  15. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH 
    1. Remove the front shock absorber cap LH.

  16. REMOVE FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Matchmark

      When reusing the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH:

      1. Place matchmarks on the front suspension support assembly and pneumatic cylinder chamber.
    2. Support the lower No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH using a jack and wooden block.

    3. Remove the nut.
      NOTE:
      • Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Loosen the bolt with the nut secured.
      • Do not remove the bolt.

    4. Remove the 3 nuts from the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (upper side).

    5. Remove the bolt from the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (lower side).
    6. Slowly lower the jack and remove the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.
    7. When reusing the front pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH:
      1. Remove the No. 2 connector, plate and 2 O-rings.
