Removal [12/2017 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSMISSION (for 2WD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSMISSION (for AWD) 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - 09/2018] , or refer to REMOVAL [09/2018 - 10/2020] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2020 - 10/2022] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2022 - 10/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [10/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2017 - ]

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 TURBO INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 4 turbo insulator.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 TURBO INSULATOR 
    1. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 turbo insulator.

  6. REMOVE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. for 2WD:

      1. Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp LH.

        HINT: 

        Move the exhaust pipe clamp LH to the converter assembly LH side.

      2. Remove the nut and converter assembly LH.

      3. Remove the gasket.
    2. for AWD:

      1. Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp LH.

        HINT: 

        Move the exhaust pipe clamp LH to the converter assembly LH side.

      2. Remove the nut and converter assembly LH.

      3. Remove the gasket.
  7. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. for 2WD:

      1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.
    2. for AWD:

      1. Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 manifold stay.
  8. REMOVE CONVERTER ASSEMBLY RH

      1. Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp RH.

        HINT: 

        Move the exhaust pipe clamp RH to the converter assembly RH side.

      2. Remove the nut and converter assembly RH.

      3. Remove the gasket.
    2. for AWD:

      1. Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp RH.

        HINT: 

        Move the exhaust pipe clamp RH to the converter assembly RH side.

      2. Remove the nut and converter assembly RH.

      3. Remove the gasket.
  9. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY 
    1. for 2WD:
