DTC B1321-87: Lost Communication with EMV Missing Message [12/2017 - 10/2020]: Procedure

1. Check if navigation system DTCs are output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2017 - 10/2020]

   Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes 

   Result

GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2017 - 10/2020]

1. Disconnect the G88 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G88-4 (ES) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G88-2 (B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   G88-1 (IG) - Body ground	Engine switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the G88 meter mirror sub-assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G88-14 (TX+) - G88-15 (TX-)	Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal	54 Ω to 69 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

1. Check if meter / gauge system DTCs are output.
